Dubbo Eisteddfod 43rd Grand Concert

Celebrate the Grand Concert of the City of Dubbo Eisteddfod Society. Criteria is used by adjudicators in deciding who will be invited to perform at the Grand Concert. All scholarship winners will be featured together with a number of outstanding competitors who achieved a first place in their class.

From modest beginnings in 1970 the City of Dubbo Eisteddfod has become an established major cultural event in Dubbo providing a forum for performance in the disciplines of Dance, Instrumental, Vocal and Choral, Speech and Drama. Run entirely by volunteers, the Committee of eleven is joined each year by over 200 helpers.

Over the past four years an average of 6000 performers have crossed the stage at each Eisteddfod. While the majority of competitors are from Dubbo and District, competitors from throughout the State and even Interstate are also attracted. All Dubbo Schools (Government and Non-Government) as well as many District Schools participate.

The Eisteddfod has built a reputation for choosing Adjudicators of the highest calibre and this attracts competitors. The Society is proud of the fact that a large number of young people who have competed at the Eisteddfod (often for the first time); have achieved success in the Performing Arts both in Australia and overseas.
