Kites for Kids Day

Kites for Kids is a great community event offering fun for the entire family whilst promoting inclusion during Early Intervention Week. Celebrating its 10th year in Dubbo, Kites for Kids highlights the importance of identifying and helping young children with any sort of developmental problem as soon as possible and also showcases the brilliant service available locally that provide help for families. Families can come along to the Bob Dowling Ovals (in North Dubbo corner of Brisbane and Macleay Streets) between 11am and 2pm, buy a kite for a $2 donation and decorate it or bring their own kite to fly on the day. There will be food and drinks available to purchase on site however feel free to bring your own picnic lunch and share it with your family on the grass area with plenty of safe parking available. Your family will also be entertained by demonstration Kite flying from Kite Fliers Australia and Circus West performers. It is always a great community event for the whole family to enjoy a fun day out together. So please come along and have a wonderful day of kite flying. All welcome! This event is run with workers volunteering their Sunday from organisations wanting to raise the importance and awareness for early childhood intervention. The service’s represented include: ADHC, UnitingCare Burnside, Northcott , Orana Early Intervention , Buninyong Schools as Communities, Orana Heights Early Intervention, DEC , The Cerebral Palsy Centre, Tafe, Centacare Bathurst, Communities for Children, Wellington Aboriginal Corporation Health Service and Medicare Local.
